Hello parents and students! I hope you had a peaceful and relaxing summer. I am writing to let you know a little about me personally. This is my 20th year as the Functional Mental Disability teacher at Flemingsburg Elementary. I grew up in Russell, Kentucky and graduated from Russell High School. In 1980, I joined the United States Air Force and served 2 tours of duty. One tour was in the great state of Texas (San Antonio), and the second tour was in the beautiful country of Germany. Out of the service I returned to Kentucky and attended Morehead State Univesity for undergraduate and graduate work. I am certified to teach kindergarten through 12th grade special education (Learning and Behavior Disorders and Functional Mental Disabilities).
I am also certified to teach 5-8 social studies. My graduate work was in elementary education. I married Cindy Davis in 1994. Cindy is a native Fleming Countian. She teaches first grade at Ward Elementary. We have a son named Noah. He will be entering 4th grade this year. Our interests include our 4 dogs and 10 or so cats. We like to travel some, go to ball games, movies, and eat out as much as possible.
