Hi! My name is Jo Ann Conway. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your child as we strive to become a District of Distinction. I have thirteen years of teaching experience, four of these were teaching second grade, one year teaching third grade and eight of these were as an Exceptional Children instructor for the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. I am a 1993 graduate of Tollesboro High School. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degrees in Teaching Exceptional Children and Elementary Education from Morehead State University.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Greg, for twenty-four years. We live in Lewis County and are the proud parents of three, wonderful children, Kristian (twenty-three) a civil engineer at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Spencer (nineteen) an Airman for the United States Air Force, he also plans to attend MSU this Spring, and Jocelyn (thirteen) attending Simon's Middle School as an eighth grader .
In my spare time, I like listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my family. As a teacher, I hope that I can inspire my students to reach for the stars and to know that they can do anything with hard work. I look forward to an amazing year in third grade!!!
