Principal's Message

Dear Fleming Countians,

I am Mark Leet, your new Principal at Fleming County High School. I am honored to have been selected to serve this community, and will work hard to gain your trust and respect as principal.  As our new school year approaches, I look forward to meeting students, staff, parents, and community members.

I have experienced a warm and friendly welcome here at FCHS.  The very first day in the building I was greeted by several kind staff members and parents.  A few folks have been working hard to spruce up the building and others have been introducing me to the daily procedures and routines of operating a successful high school.

As I make this transition to Fleming County High School, I am aware of the anticipation and eagerness that accompanies new leadership in any organization.  I know that change can provoke both excitement and anxiety.  It is my goal to spend the first few months learning about our school and all of its stakeholders.  I eagerly anticipate getting to know all parent, students, and staff involved with FCHS, and learning about your hopes and dreams for our school.

This year we will be focusing more on the individual learning of our students by collecting data from assessments such as the Explore, Plan, and ACT. With these assessment tools, we will be able to see the individual strengths and weaknesses of each of our students. Our teachers will be addressing those needs as much as possible to make sure that every student is successful.

Supporting our kids to do well at school, and in their lives, is the center of our work. Therefore, I want to thank you in advance for all of your help and dedication to the students of Fleming County. If you have any comments or suggestions to help improve our school, please feel free to call or email me.

God Bless,

Mark Leet
