My name is Jordan T. Fritz and I teach 8th grade social studies at SMS! Along with American History, I will be teaching a course that will allow students to explore Kentucky History as well as some Fleming County History. I want this class to evolve into a service-based learning class in which my students have opportunities to work in the community to provide services that preserve and recognize local history.
I graduated from Fleming County High School in 2006 and attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Morehead State University in 2011 with a B.A. Social Studies Education. I have been married to Ashley (Montgomery) Fritz for 5 years, who is a Guidance Counselor at FCHS. We have an amazing son named Maxwell Rawlings Fritz! I am an assistant football coach at FCHS and have been since 2008. Also, this year I will be serving as the SMS Athletics Director. I am excited about working more closely with the student-athletes in our school.
My grandfather, Alvah S. Rawlings was a teacher and administrator in Fleming County Schools for over 40 years. I am deeply rooted in this community and care about its people, history and future a great deal. Feel free to email me or speak to me anytime you see me. We are FC!
