Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of Ewing Elementary School, I am excited to welcome you to Ewing Elementary! Summer has quickly come and gone and we now move forward with a brand new school year. I am honored to be returning to Ewing Elementary and feel grateful to continue the work that our highly qualified staff, students and community members have exhibited last year during unprecedented times. I assure you that ALL decisions will be in the best interest of our students. Last year would not have been possible without the support of our families and community! We are truly blessed to have each one of you involved in our school.

This year our focus will be growing students academically and meeting their individual needs. We know that if our students are engaged in classroom activities and given opportunities to showcase their learning they will flourish. Ewing Elementary is committed to ensuring all students are growing academically, every student is being challenged by new learnings and experiences, and every child, every day knows they have a champion they can turn to.

Now more than ever we understand the importance of a fun and engaging learning environment for our students. This is something that Ewing Elementary has prided itself on in years past. We plan to continue that excitement this year. We do not know what guidelines may come into play but we will make sure that our students are having fun! We have big plans!

I would like to encourage you to keep up to date on our social media page as we will have many new and exciting things that are happening at Ewing Elementary this school year. From the Ewing Elementary Facebook page you can watch for updates and keep upto date with all the exciting things that are taking place in the classrooms..This year our overarching theme is “From Small Seeds Grow Mighty Trees”.

Please note that our master schedule will remain the same and the tardy bell will ring at 7:30 a.m. and dismissal will occur at 3:15. In addition, it is important to note that we will only release students as permitted by parents or legal guardians. Emergency contacts that are listed on the enrollment form do not suffice as permission on a day to day basis, only in emergency situations. You can either call case by case or write a long-standing note with your permission to release your child without notification. Please remember that this is only to uphold the utmost safety procedural practices at Ewing Elementary School.  Your child’s safety is our number one priority!

In closing, I look forward to working with all of you this school year as we work attentively to provide a rigorous and fun education that our students need and deserve. Attached you will find important information.  The best is yet to come!
