Fleming County Schools and the HES’ SBDM Council are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Levi Gallagher as the new principal of Hillsboro Elementary School, effective for the upcoming school year.
Mr. Gallagher brings a strong commitment to student achievement, a positive school culture, and meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families. His leadership is grounded in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
“I am honored to serve as the new principal of Hillsboro Elementary,” said Mr. Gallagher. “I am excited to join the Hillsboro Elementary community and look forward to working alongside dedicated staff, partnering with families, and supporting students as they learn and thrive. It is truly a privilege to become part of the Wildcat family.”
Mr. Gallagher’s approach to leadership reflects a deep belief in the importance of connection, communication, and shared responsibility. His experiences both as an educator and as a parent continue to shape his focus on building trust and strengthening relationships across the school community. He is a proud husband to his wife, Tiffany, and a father of three children, Lincoln, Skylar, and Nevaeh.
As principal, Mr. Gallagher plans to focus on strengthening a positive and consistent school culture, supporting high-quality instruction, and fostering a strong sense of community throughout Hillsboro Elementary. His work will align closely with Fleming County Schools’ commitment to ensuring every student experiences meaningful, engaging, and high-quality learning each day.

Throughout the interview process, Mr. Gallagher emphasized the critical role of the Hillsboro community in sustaining the school’s long-standing tradition of success. He is committed to building on that foundation by continuing the work centered on BRIDGE Performance Indicators (BPIs), BRIDGE Performance Assessments (BPAs), and the district’s local accountability model. This work ensures students are consistently engaged in meaningful tasks that require application and transfer, producing clear evidence of growth, mastery, and readiness for what comes next.
I would like to thank the Hillsboro Elementary SBDM Council for their time, effort, and commitment throughout the process of interviewing and selecting the next principal for the 2026-2027 school year. This work is never easy, and it requires thoughtful consideration and a strong sense of responsibility.
What stood out most was the Council’s diligence and clear commitment to selecting the best candidate for Hillsboro Elementary. It was truly a pleasure working alongside each member of the SBDM Council throughout this process. This was a thorough and thoughtful process, and the Hillsboro community can have full confidence in both how the decision was made and the leader selected.
I would also like to thank Mr. Leet for his commitment, leadership, and service to Hillsboro Elementary School. He has led with a clear focus on student-centered learning while strengthening the connection between the school and the community. Under his leadership, Hillsboro Elementary received statewide recognition for its work in real-world learning, student digital portfolios, and local accountability. Those accomplishments reflect both his vision and the culture he helped build within the school.
One of the clearest indicators of his impact came directly from students. In survey responses, many students expressed that they did not want to see him leave and hoped the next principal would be just as strong and fun. That kind of feedback speaks volumes about the relationships he built and the trust he earned. He leaves behind a strong foundation at Hillsboro Elementary. There is no question that he leaves big shoes to fill.
A parent, guardian, and community meet-and-greet with Mr. Gallagher will be scheduled soon. In the meantime, we invite the Hillsboro community to join us in welcoming Mr. Gallagher to Hillsboro Elementary.
